Enabling a Major Telecommunications Provider to Prioritize and Operationalize AI
RevGen helped our client turn blue-sky ideas into a realistic, sequenced AI roadmap
RevGen helped this government agency break down silos and accelerate AI opportunities through strategic collaboration
A large local government agency is seeking to become the most business-friendly city in the country by leveraging AI to enhance service delivery, reduce costs, and improve both resident and employee experiences. They enlisted RevGen’s help to create a common vision among key stakeholders. Our AI Accelerator workshop built consensus on high-impact use cases to reduce friction and accelerate business.
Within the agency, siloed operations and a lack of alignment between business and technology teams created barriers to realizing their AI-powered vision. Departments operate independently, leading to very different digital experiences. Additionally, a lack of shared data and processes slowed routine services delivered to the public.
Within the agency, departments operated independently, meaning businesses and residents could have wildly different digital experiences and find conflicting information across different channels.
All of this means that constituents have difficulty not just finding information, but reconciling what is true, leading to longer, more painful interactions with the agency than desired.
Beyond the current state of digital experiences, the silos between various agencies and departments led to a need for overall alignment on priorities for AI and a consistent understanding of the impact of proposed AI projects.
To kickstart their AI journey, the agency partnered with RevGen to facilitate an AI Accelerator Workshop. We brought together a team of cross-functional business and technology leaders for the first time, beginning by building alignment on foundational AI concepts and strategic considerations to level-set and inspire collaborative thinking. We then led the team through a process of brainstorming, prioritization, and road mapping to create a vision of how AI can allow the agency to deliver services more efficiently to their constituents.
By bringing use cases based on our experience and research and aligned with their strategic goals, RevGen was able to expand their view of AI’s potential impact.
In order to build a roadmap to the future, we first had a discussion around where they experience specific difficulties and also where they had already ideated future-state goals.
By bringing use cases based on our experience and research that aligned with their strategic goals, RevGen was able to expand their view of AI’s potential impact. We discussed, ideated, and mapped AI use cases to agency goals to identify benefits such as cost savings, increased efficiency, and a unified digital experience across the agency.
Finally, RevGen worked with the team to define requirements for technology needs, data availability, and overall feasibility considerations, allow the identification of dependencies and the creation of a roadmap of initiatives.
RevGen helped the team to build a plan to implement transformative AI initiatives across the agency. Using the structure of our AI Accelerator Workshop and our technical and business expertise, we worked with key stakeholders from the agency to break down barriers and create alignment between departments, resulting in a comprehensive strategy for AI.
By discussing not just the use cases, but the requirements from a people, process, data, and technology lens, we were able to build a portfolio of AI use cases to address both immediate and long-term objectives.
The AI Accelerator helped bring about a plan to improve the constituents’ digital experience and uncovered areas where it could also support internal employees.
After coalescing around a new vision of how data and AI can transform the agency, the team left with the confidence and alignment needed to drive meaningful change and deliver tangible results.
